2011 Plots of Drifter Data from the Chukchi Sea

More information about these deployments can be found at the original 2011 Chukchi Sea Oceanographic Drifters page.

Description of available plots

  • Map of locations. Geen triangle is the deployment location, and the red star is where the deployment ended because of drifter failure.
  • Timeseries of measured and filtered east-west (U) and north-south (V) velocities.
  • Deployments during 2011 by the North Slope Borough, Department of Wildlife Management (NSBW) and by UAF.
  • Plots are over a standard region. If the drifter leaves this regions or is active for longer, there is a 2nd plot of the full drifter deployment.
  • One drifter (107048) returned no data for a ~1 month period, so its deployment was broken into 2 parts.
